Frankie's Fight Texas Hold'em Tournament 2010 is being held on Saturday March 20, 2010 at the American Legion Post 193 on 412-416 Folcroft Avenue in Folcroft Pa (19032). All proceeds benefit Frankie's Fight-to financially assist children and their families that are affected by childhood cancer.

Our foundation has been assisting families devastated by pediatric cancer with life expenses, such as mortgages, utilities, and car payments. We also provide gift certificates to supermarkets, gas cards, hospital parking tokens, and any other financial needs a family may have during their child's illness. Our foundation has created Frankie's Fund, an account at Apple Pharmacy in St. Christopher's Hospital for Children where parents can obtain  prescriptions and supplements for their children at no cost to them, by "charging" them to the Frankie's Fund account.

Frankie's Fight donates approximately 10% of its funds specifically to pediatric cancer research. We have been donating to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and are always looking for other promising cancer treatments that could benefit from our donations.

Frankie's Fight also helps contribute to end of life expenses, since unfortunately this too is considered a financial burden. We assist pediatric oncology families, if funding is available. One of the organizations we work with is FinalFarewell.org

Our family could have never imagined or prepared for the battles we would fight when our son was diagnosed with cancer. The pain, physical and emotional, is overwhelming and unbearable, and our lives became unrecognizable.

Most parents need to cut back their work schedules, or are unable to work at all. Some need to take family medical leave, without pay. How do you survive?, Keep food on the table?, Pay the bills?, How do you find the strength and time to worry about your finances and devote every ounce of strength trying to keep your sanity, care for your child, and support your spouse and other children?

Frankie's Fight was created precisely for this reason. Our mission is to emotionally and financially assist families devastated by pediatric cancer.

Frankie's Fight is working hard to accomplish this goal in many ways. With our fundraising efforts, we are not only obtaining the resources we need to financially help families, but we are also raising awareness in our community. As pediatric cancer is a global problem, we feel very strongly that increasing awareness is necessary not only in our community, but worldwide. It is only through education and hard work that our united voices will be heard, and we hope one day to become part of the chain of events that will ultimately lead to a cure.
